Even the cute Beatle needed flat-bed trucks to get concert gear to the Commons.
HALIFAX – Concert supplies and power generators for next week’s Paul McCartney concert arrived at the North Common on Friday. The 18-wheelers queued up on Cunard Street awaiting their turns to unload. Red, yellow and blue pennants fluttered everywhere. The flags and fog gave the impression that it is 13th-century England and that medieval knights were about to emerge from the Armouries and joust.

Festive pennants and a mysterious fog await Sir Paul McCartney's advance army.
