Volunteers involved in finding 249-year-old Morris House a sanctuary in the north end celebrate on Monday after the building was trucked to its new resting spot on Creighton Street.
Hi Nancy, A developer was building condos and the house was in the way. The Heritage Trust arranged to buy it for a $1 and they temporarily parked it a few hundred yards away until local community groups figured out a permanent location. Here’s a good article on the story: http://www.huffingtonpost.ca/2013/01/26/morris-house-move_n_2557759.html
Good to hear from you!

Hi Dave, it’s Nancy in Ottawa. That’s an old house! Why did they move it?
